No Time to Relax: Zimbabwe on High Alert
Fresh off a historic victory, Zimbabwe knows the real battle is just beginning. Ben Curran has fired a warning to his teammates — don’t dare relax now! With Bangladesh wounded and desperate, the second Test in Chattogram promises to be an all-out war.
“We know Bangladesh will come at us with everything they’ve got,” Curran declared, after Zimbabwe’s sensational three-wicket win in Sylhet. “We can’t expect an easy ride. Every moment, every ball will matter.”
Zimbabwe’s Big Chase: A Statement Win
Chasing down 174 in Sylhet wasn’t just another victory — it was Zimbabwe’s highest successful run chase ever in Tests. More importantly, it shattered a long drought, delivering their first Test win since 2021 and a rare overseas triumph, once again at Bangladesh’s expense.
But Curran is clear: the job is far from finished. “It was a great win, but the series is still alive. We have to stay locked in for the final push,” he said.
Confidence Skyrocketing — but Caution in the Air
Inside the Zimbabwe camp, spirits are soaring. Yet Curran, one of the new faces of the team, knows overconfidence can be fatal.
“Winning like that gives you belief,” he admitted. “But we have to stay sharp. Different conditions in Chattogram will test us in new ways.”
Young Blood, Old Heads
Still fresh to the big stage, Curran is smart enough to lean on Zimbabwe’s seasoned veterans, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine.
“I’m like a sponge around them,” he laughed. “I’d be a fool not to soak up their experience. Every little tip from them is gold for my development.”
A Journey Back Home
Curran’s journey to this moment is a story in itself. Born in Zimbabwe, raised and trained in England, and now back wearing the Zimbabwe cap with pride.
“It’s a dream come true,” he said. “I left, but my heart always stayed here. Now I get to live my dream every time I walk out for Zimbabwe.”
Brotherly Bonds Remain Strong
While Ben is lighting up the field in Zimbabwe colors, his brothers Tom and Sam Curran — stars of England cricket — remain his biggest supporters.
“I’m always texting them, getting advice. Family means everything to me. We’ll celebrate together soon, but for now, my mind’s on Zimbabwe and finishing this series strong,” he added.
🔔 Watch out, Chattogram. The wounded Tigers are ready to roar — but Zimbabwe’s young guns are braced for the fight of their lives. 🔥
